Last night there was a dugout-clearing brawl during the Washington Nationals/Florida Marlins game. The Nationals' Nyjer Morgan charged the mound  after Marlins starter Chris Volstad threw behind him two innings after hitting him with a pitch. Then, as you can see, much swing-punching ensues. There's even a clothesline! Florida's Gaby Sanchez pulled the classic move on Morgan as went for Volstad after the initial haymaker.

ANYWAY. All this baseball scrum fighting is entertaining enough on its own -- though, admittedly, it doesn't bring half the comedy that is an NBA fight. What makes this even better is the reaction of the Japanese TV commentator. It sounds like the players are attacking his children. Or kicking puppies. He is very upset and not afraid to let his voice volume show it. That said, for all I know he could be yelling about how awesome it all is.

"That said, for all I know he could be yelling about how awesome it all is."

That is what he is doing!

What an example for young people to see! As they say start them young and they grow up being bullies.

The brawl is almost as exciting as the commentary! And I thought the Japanese people were a quiet, polite breed, lol.

The commentator almost has the range of a vuvuzela!

"Lariato!" That sounds lime puroresu (Japanese pro wrestling) commentary.

I listened to it a second time...they took audio from All Japan Pro Wrestling and used it on this video.

How do I know? First of all the use of the term "Lariat-o!" That's a Lariat or Clothesline..second of all you hear a bell sounding 3x, that signifies the end of a wrestling match...thirdly, the name "Stan Hansen" in used. Stan Hansen is a legend in puroresu who wrestled for All Japan Pro Wrestling.

I'm Smilin Stan and you're nerdier for reading this :D
