BrodeurEarrings

Chances are you've heard by now that last night, New Jersey Devils 'tender Martin Brodeur passed Terry Sawchuck to become the NHL's all-time shutout leader, thanks to a 4-0 Devils win over Pittsburgh. This adds to Brodeur's already-impressive laundry list of NHL records that include wins, minutes-played, sister-in-law affairs and game appearances, cementing this lifetime Devil as the pinnacle of between-the-pipeness.

So what does this have to do with the holiday season? Tons. Our holiday gift ideas so far haven't really gone that extra mile to address the ladies, as a group, but today we take a closer look at shopping for the female sports fan on your gift list. Sure, you could go the generic ticket-from-the-record-breaking-game route, but does that really do anything to distinguish your female squeezebuddy from your little brother or that uncle who cheers for the Devils even though he lives in Kamloops? Nuh-uh.

What better way to tell that special ladyfriend how you feel this holiday season than with a pair of Martin Brodeur earrings? I know, I know, WHY HASN'T ANYONE THOUGHT OF THIS BEFORE? No idea. Not only will this small token of your love tie in perfectly with current hockey events and your significant other's strange-yet-totally-healthy-obsession-with-goalies, but it shows you listen to her, pay attention to her needs and are confident in her desire for sports-related fashion accessories. Sure, she may have never mentioned Martin Brodeur jersey-themed jewelry specifically, but this is one of those You Know What She Wants Before She Knows What She Wants type deals. And, if Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus and the bulk of Meg Ryan's film career has taught us anything, we all know where this leads... (insert tasteful five-hole pun). Am I right, ladies? Ladies?

making seats cheaper is only helping the scalpers ! all the tickets get bought up when they go on sale, then we have to buy them off these freaking ticket websites and pay a premium price, its a hell of a set up... someone has to ban these ticket sites, THEN you will start seeing people being able to afford sports tickets..

Ah, I see someone had a big bowl of CRAZY with their coffee this morning...
