The Morning Hit - November 12, 2009: Tyson in trouble again, Woods doing well in Australia, Leafs are worth a bundle
CFL won't increase its $4.2-million salary cap for next season - Two league sources requesting anonymity told The Canadian Press on Wednesday that the CFL isn't planning on boosting its $4.2-million salary cap in 2010. The money difference between the CFL and NFL is laughable, but at least the CFL pays professional athletes closer what they SHOULD be making.
Leafs remain NHL's richest team - The Toronto Maple Leafs' poor performance on the ice doesn't appear to be hurting the team's bottom line. Insert the 'at least they're number 1 at something' joke here.
Airport police: Mike Tyson in scuffle with photographer at Los Angeles Int'l Airport - Mike Tyson
allegedly hit a photographer at Los Angeles International Airport and
was booked and released on suspicion of misdemeanour battery Wednesday,
police said. I think Mike Tyson was in the right here. I mean the guy was trying to take his picture... HIS PICTURE FOR GOODNESS SAKE!!!!!!!!!
Woods gets off to a good start at Australian Masters - Tiger Woods lived
up to eight months of hype Thursday by running off three straight
birdies late in his round for a 6-under 66 that gave him a share of the
lead in the Australian Masters. For the amount of money Tiger is receiving to show up, he'd better be around all four days and be in at least the top 5 of the leaderboard.
Chris Bosh has 28 points, 11 rebounds in Raptors' 99-89 win over Bulls - The Chicago Bulls
didn't need to watch a replay to see how they lost this one. A
six-minute scoreless drought in the fourth quarter put them in a hole
no buzzer-beater could undo. This was a weird back and forth game with some odd moments. All things considered, this was a must-win for the Raptors and they delivered.
