 By now you know that the powers that be over at TSN had a brilliant money-making scheme to screw you out of more money (as if stealing the HNIC theme song wasn't enough). According to our friends over at Fadoo.ca:
...an agreement has been reached between Rogers Cable and CTVglobemedia regarding carriage of TSN2.
I don't know if I should be happy or sad. I mean, sure it's great that TSN2 is available to most Canadian subscribers, but man is it terrible that TSN2 even exists. Oh and good news, you can now find Blue Jays games (featuring the Boston Red Sox for at least one game) on the PAY ONLY channel. The same games that were found under your existing cable package for free just last year. First the Raptors, then Capitals / Penguins regular season NHL games, and now this. per that article, if you have Rogers' VIP package (which I think most people with digital do) then you automatically get TSN2 at no extra cost. and I can only assume if you already have TSN HD then you'll get TSN2 HD.

Shame on Rogers. We now pay outrageous prices for the cable Rogers provides and they want more to watch the Jays games?!...Shame on Them!! This is terrible PR.

starting on the 19th TSN2 is supposed to be on channel 98, not sure what channel TSN2HD will be on though

I believe that if that is what Rogers is going to do then of course switch to another company that has a better package. I believe people are smart, and will shop for better deals and ask friends, so thats why I am glad I never go to Rogers for anything as yes they are expensive as well as their deals with the their cell phones....just too much. They spend so much on commercials about their products, but yet there are better out there so PEOPLE DON'T GO TO ROGERS FOR ANYTHING!! Thanks
